Overview
Perform welding, metal fabrication, and minor repairs on turbine and combustion components.

Tasks
-Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels. -Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. -Install accessories in components per work instruction. -Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties. -Install accessories on Turbine components -Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources. -Install accessories on Combustion components -perform minor Turbine repairs (Class A to Class B) -perform minor on Combustion repairs (Class A to Class B) -Read, interpret and perform all operations as necessary per drawings and/or work instructions. -Perform TPMs on equipment.

What You Bring
-Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision -Pass qualification test per AWS D17.1 and accepted by MHPS level 3 inspector. -Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. -Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. -Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. -General knowledge of all other shop processes -Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Demonstrate capability and aptitude to learn then teach various preheat and post-heat equipment and appropriate welding techniques using TIG and MIG. -Understand penetrant applications and inspection methods (i.e. red-dye, fluorescent penetrant)
