Overview
Oversee welding qualification projects, proposals, compliance, and staff training.

Tasks
-Work in and around operating equipment and industrial environments. -Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. -Coordinate with technical staff to define project requirements and maintain progress toward deliverables. -Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. -Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ) in accordance with code requirements. -Mentor and train technical personnel; support staff hiring, performance evaluations, and development programs. -Review and maintain calibration records, technical procedures, and test software to ensure conformance with standards. -Work with laboratory staff to maintain equipment calibration and support maintenance of related systems. -Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc. -Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for materials and welded products. -Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, test data, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and client specifications. -Serve as the primary customer contact for technical questions, project updates, and scheduling. -Review and interpret local, state, and national codes and standards to determine project applicability and compliance. -Provide welder training, certification oversight, and recommendations for welding techniques and methods. -Collaborate with other departments and business development teams to support new project and client opportunities. -Manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring technical, schedule, and budget requirements are met.

What You Bring
-Excellent communication skills written and verbal. -Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection. -Must be familiar with industrial metal joining processes (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper) and associated metallurgical testing methods. -Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. -Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds. -U.S. Persons Only: A requirement of this position is access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
