Electrical Project Engineer managing design, procurement, cost & contracts for treatment projects

Tasks

-Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback. -Liaise with site management on design and procurement issues -Maintain good client relationships at all levels -Coaching and Providing Feedback -Work closely with design departments to ensure timely progressing of quality solutions -Assist in the production of the contract programme; monitor programme and produce progress reports -Complete the capitalisation process -Monitor subcontract performance -Ensure all applications for payment are made on or before the due date -Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers -Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality -Assist with the Project Management strategy -Assist in the preparation of the construction completion and take over documentation -Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations. -Evaluate innovative solutions and processes -Establish and maintain the contract filing systems -Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals -Ensure contract reviews, monthly forecasts are completed and submitted on time -Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basis -Ensure project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance -Ensure designs are developed which are safe to construct, commission, operate and maintain

-In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and MWH Treatment as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships. -CDM & Health & Safety knowledge -Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially NEC -Basic engineering background -Experience of supply chain expedition -Knowledge of water and waste water treatment processes -Relevant professional qualification an advantage -Engineering/ Technical qualification (HNC minimum) required - Electrical
