Tasks

-Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts -Supporting the development of commercial systems and processes within the rail division. -Monitor project budgets and financial performance -Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial objectives are met -Mentoring junior members of the commercial team as required. -Provide guidance on commercial risks and opportunities -Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies -Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements -Develop and implement effective cost control strategies for projects -Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors

What You Bring

-Network Rail Framework and Compliance: 3 years (required) -Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices -Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience -Have you previously prepared and submitted estimates on projects within the Network Rail environment? -Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail -Knowledge of Network Rail procedures, frameworks, and compliance standards. -Do you have proven commercial experience in the UK rail sector? -Relevant degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred -Looking for a genuine step up into a Commercial Manager role. -Proven experience in a similar role in the Railway sector -commercial role in railway sector: 5 years (required) -Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment -Proficient in financial reporting software and tools
