The Role

Overview

Lead E&I discipline, managing site construction, safety, and contractor performance.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and any incidents or issues. -Support the Work Packaging team to review Installation Work Packs (IWP’s) to ensure suitability for field construction -Support the Package Managers and Area Construction Manager in all matters Electrical and Instrumentation. -Act as Costain Responsible Electrical Person on the Project. -Carry out site inspections to support the quality team including witnessing cable jointing, and testing activities. -Monitor facilities contractor performance including cleaning and scheduled & responsive maintenance. -Monitor facilities contractor performance in the field and help to coordinate all site works -Act as E+I IA (Isolation Authority) on the Project and on the Project Temporary Facilities. -Attend daily coordination meetings and SIMOPS reviews -Review construction documents and RAMS for site works and ensure compliance in the field -Monitor HSEQ performance in the field and support document reviews -Ensure adherence to safety regulations and project requirements

What You Bring

-Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. -CSCS/CCNSG Card -ISSOW and PTW experience -Ideally be apprentice trained or have a discipline specific qualification or trade background – i.e. C + Guilds, NVQ 3 or above (HNC/D) in an Electrical Engineering subject. -Must have Isolation Authority and Responsible Electrical Person experience on a Live Plant. -Ability to read and interpret E+I construction drawings and specifications. -Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively. -Experience in progress reporting and record keeping -Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation installation works, and testing and commissioning of process equipment. -Demonstrate sufficient experience (Ten years plus) in a similar role on a large-scale project. -JIB Approved Electrician -Compex Certification -Must be Microsoft Office Literate -Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders. -Proven experience in supervising Electrical construction teams in brownfield projects and in controlled environments.
