Tasks

The field service technician performs different types of support at the customers location, such as troubleshooting, setup, and installation of systems and equipment. -Maintain records of service calls, training, and expenses. -Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units while in the field. -Provide on-call emergency service as required and maintain communication with the department manager while in the field. -A Service Technician is responsible for managing electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within commercial settings. They are responsible for managing small electrical projects on a fast timeline and for providing unparalleled customer service and support during emergency electrical service calls. -Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety regulations, and provide general customer service on the phone and in person.

-Possess the ability to talk. -Walking – ability to move around on one’s feet for long period of time, often without breaks. -Carrying – up to 50 pounds. -Possess the ability to hear well either naturally or with correction. -Standing – ability to stand on one’s feet with little to no movement for a prolonged period. -Pushing – up to 50 pounds. -Bending- ability to bend at waist, hips, and knees, sometimes for a prolonged period. -Possess the ability to see well either naturally or with correction. -Sitting – ability to remain in normal seated position for prolonged period. -Pulling – up to 50 pounds. -Lifting – up to 50 pounds. -Ability to work on and maneuver a ladder safely, both 3 legged and extension ladders for a prolonged period.
