Overview

Operate heavy construction equipment, perform site prep, and ensure safety.

Tasks

-Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and safety concerns. -Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic control procedures, and company policies. -Perform site preparation tasks including grading, trenching, and material movement. -Assist with loading/unloading materials and other site duties when not operating equipment. -Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and report any mechanical issues. -Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and rollers. -Work closely with laborers, foremen, and other operators to ensure project efficiency. -Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to complete tasks accurately. -Maintain equipment cleanliness and assist with minor maintenance as needed.

What You Bring

-CDL Class A or B license -Background check and drug screen required -Valid driver's license required -OSHA 10 or 30 certification -Frequent climbing, bending, and exposure to outdoor elements -Outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather, dust, and noise -Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting -Proficient in the safe operation of multiple types of heavy machinery -Ability to read and interpret site plans and grade stakes -Experience with GPS or laser-guided equipment systems -Must be authorized to work in the United States -Fast-paced, team-oriented environment -Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed -Knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures -Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required -NCCER or other recognized equipment operator certification -Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds -Ability to sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods -High school diploma or equivalent
