The Role

Overview

Assist engineers with water resources design, analysis, and project coordination.

Tasks

-Assist with and support AutoCAD production, Civil 3D design, and development of improvement plans. -Attend and participate in occasional site visits and/or field meetings. Attend and participate in project meetings with internal staff and external clients or teaming partners. -Assist Senior Engineers and Project Managers in performing engineering tasks that may include preparing studies, designs, engineering recommendations, improvement plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and presentations. -Support development of quantities using a combination of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and hand calculations. -Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field -Have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, with guidance from other engineers, and as a part of a team. -Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate -Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to clearly describe work in written reports, presentations, technical memos, meeting notes, and emails. -Be able to follow instructions, ask questions, and resolve challenges in a team environment through collaboration and dialogue. -Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software -Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task
