Tasks

-Applying knowledge of building codes and industry standards. -Writing and editing specifications, reports, narratives and surveys. -Engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selection, system layout and coordination. -Coordination with internal disciplines. -Coordination with external clients. -Drawing production and Building Information Modeling (BIM) for plumbing systems.

What You Bring

-Reading and understanding construction documents, floor plans, specifications and equipment details. -Efficient in MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation. -Detailed knowledge of building codes and industry standards. -Fire protection system design including wet systems, dry systems, clean agent systems, and other relevant industry system designs. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with fire protection emphasis, or equivalent industry experience. -Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. -Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills. -3 to 5 years of experience in fire protection system engineering and design. -Ability to operate AutoCAD and RevitTM BIM software. -Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines. -NICET, CFPS certifications , or equivalent recommended.
