Electrical Engineer

Description

Provides technical expertise to regional business line, market sector and business development teams, suggesting approaches and differentiators where applicable

• Manages communication and collaboration with full design team and client.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Oversees the development and implementation of technical approach and the completion of complex work which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
• Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
• Conducts interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
• Review/Validate and support on preparing designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, technical specification, schematic drawings and working drawings.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
• Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
• Manages group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.
• Participates in development of technical proposals.
• Initiates and creates project designs and plans with responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings.
• Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
• Serves as lead engineer on mid to large size projects.
• Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.

Requirements

• Subject matter expert in EHV/HT/LT distribution Electrical Design
• Having experience on deliver of projects in different sectors like EHV switch yard/ commercial/ IT/ Industrial/ Airport/ DATA Centre/ Healthcare/ Hotels/ Residential/ Infrastructure etc…
• General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.
• Serves as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.
• Technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Applies advanced knowledge to develop design procedures software and tools to facilitate high quality cost-effective technical project activities.
• Recognized experts in technical leadership within their domain or specialty area, serving as the primary technical leader.
• Requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.
