Tasks

As a Traffic Engineer, you will be instrumental in applying critical thinking, problem-solving, and versatile skills to work alongside a team of dedicated engineers, supporting project managers on a variety of dynamic projects. Your contributions will help ensure technical excellence and promote a collaborative, and innovative environment. -Collect, organize, and analyze traffic count data, turning movement counts, and field observations. -Coordinate with local jurisdictions and review agencies to support permitting and approval processes. -Assist in preparing Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) and related transportation analyses for private development projects. -Build and maintain traffic models in Synchro and SimTraffic to evaluate existing and future conditions. -Support project managers and senior engineers with client deliverables, quality control, and deadlines. -Attend and participate in industry events, conferences, and professional organization meetings to stay current with best practices and expand professional networks. -Support preparation of technical reports, memos, and presentations for clients and review agencies.

What You Bring

-Experience in transportation engineering or traffic engineering. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in relevant work experience. -Exposure to Synchro, AutoCAD, or Vissim. -Excellent organizational skills. -In possession or pursuit of EIT.
