Tasks

-Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to align estimates, designs, and material planning with project objectives. -Cost Estimation & Takeoffs: Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. -Drawings & Design: Create, review, and update low voltage drawings, schematics, and layouts to support project execution. -Materials & Procurement Support: Generate and maintain material takeoffs; coordinate with procurement to ensure timely and accurate ordering of materials. -Change Orders: Review, price, and process change orders, ensuring all revisions are accurately documented in project budgets, drawings, and material lists. -Accuracy & Updates: Continuously refine estimates and documentation based on evolving project requirements and market conditions. -Bids & Proposals: Develop comprehensive bids and proposals that align with project requirements and help secure contracts.

What You Bring

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Estimator / Engineer to join our team. This hybrid role combines traditional estimating functions with engineering responsibilities, including drawings, change orders, and materials coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems and the ability to bridge preconstruction and project execution. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for low voltage systems and cost estimation, we encourage you to apply and become part of the ServicePoint IT team. -Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. -Detail Orientation: Skilled in reviewing and producing drawings, takeoffs, and material lists with high accuracy. -Knowledge of industry standards and applicable codes/regulations. -Strong project management and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments. -Experience: 2–5 years of experience in low voltage projects, with combined exposure to estimating and engineering functions. -Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for collaboration across teams and with clients. -Proficiency with estimation and CAD/design software. -Experience with change order documentation and project engineering processes. -Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate data, identify cost and design impacts, and ensure accurate documentation. -Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of structured cabling, security, audiovisual, and network infrastructure systems.
