Overview

Manage financial close, GL, AR/AP, reporting, budgeting, audits, and team leadership.

Tasks

-Support annual internal and external audits. -Provide management and oversight of general ledger and all journal entries -Direct budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets. -Provide management with timely review of organization's financial status and progress. -Lead AR/Cash posting department department and engagement -Lead accounting close procedures to attain on timely and high quality work product -Provide management and controller over balance sheet accounts -Lead AP department performance and engagement -Prepare and present financial related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis. -Gain an understanding of all state regulatory filing requirements and impact on the financial statements. -Manage SGA consolidate vendor programs to ensure compliance and best total cost -Review, evaluate and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

-The ability to track, measure and manage performance is required. -Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines. -Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment. -Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley 404, and compliance requirements of other financial statutes. -Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. -Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment. -The ability to professionally interact with and influence the region, area and division leadership team as well as staff and customers to effectively accomplish goals in compliance with company policies and procedures. -The ability to establish processes and procedures to ensure effective department workflow. -4 – 6 years -Must be able to manage others to accomplish goals and objectives. -Must be able to effectively coach, mentor and train others to meet performance expectations as described above. -Must be able to demonstrate initiative to thoughtfully and fully research and follow up on nonstandard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. -An understanding of business unit operational functions and related needs and requirements and the ability identify issues, weigh options and provide effective counsel to support sound business decisions. -Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction from leadership. -Knowledge of State and local statutory requirements that govern financial reporting and accounting. -Have MS Excel skills at an intermediate level. -Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field. -Strong analytical skills.
