Tasks

We are seeking, for one of our subsidiaries, an Environmental Project Manager to lead the implementation and maintenance of our Environmental Management System (EMS 14001). The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, oversee audits and risk assessments, and drive sustainable practices across construction and landscape projects. -Train and coach staff on EMS procedures and environmental best practices. -Ensure all projects comply with local and international environmental regulations. -Lead the implementation and continual improvement of ISO 14001 EMS. -Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies. -Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and ensure mitigation measures are integrated into project planning. -Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance. -Investigate environmental incidents, accidents, and near misses; determine root causes and corrective actions. -Promote sustainable initiatives including waste reduction, energy conservation, and recycling programs. -Obtain and manage required environmental permits and licenses. -Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and contractors on environmental matters. -Lead environmental monitoring programs and prepare compliance reports for senior management. -Maintain environmental documentation, performance reports, and monitoring records. -Develop and implement Construction Environmental and Social Management Plans (CESMP).

What You Bring

-Minimum 5 years of direct experience in environmental management within construction or a high-risk industry. -Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. -Proven experience implementing environmental programs and audits. -Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and risk mitigation. -Preference for candidates with professional environmental certifications. -Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. -Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. -Proficiency in environmental management software and data analysis tools. -Strong knowledge of local and international environmental standards (ISO 14001, LEED, CEP).
