Overview

Operate chemical processing equipment, treat wastewater, and handle waste shipments.

Tasks

-Complete all necessary paperwork -Assist in on site spill response -Operate equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance to GFL Environmental Inc. transportation standard operating procedures, and government regulation -Treat various industrial wastewater using a variety of reagents -Sample containerized waste, vac trucks and tanker -Off load various trucks into tank farm

What You Bring

-Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment -Knowledge of TDG, Reg. 347 and Ontario Health and Safety Act an asset -Strong interpersonal skills -Strong organizational and communication skills -Capable of wearing respirator -Willing to work overtime, and continental shift work -Ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision -Competent computer skills (MS Windows and Office) -Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related Diploma -Valid G License, -Must be safety conscious and detail oriented -Previous lab, sales and industry experience is an asset
