Overview

Civil Engineer designing roadway/highway projects for local agencies in Northern Indiana.

Tasks

-Utilize design software and tools for drafting and modeling -Prepare preliminary design plans, documents, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers -Conduct field inspections to gather relevant data and contribute to site assessments -Support the development of cost estimates for projects -Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations -May coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or other staff -Perform quality control self-checks of assigned work -Conduct analyses and perform standard computations, drawings, and visual aids for projects

What You Bring

-Strong written and verbal communication skills -Strong understanding of design principles and standards -Ability to work individually or as part of a team -Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field from an ABET accredited civil engineering program -Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -3+ years of relevant roadway design engineering experience -Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation -Passed FE/EI exam
