The Role
Overview
Operate, maintain, and construct OPPD's electric transmission and distribution infrastructure.

Tasks
-Works with the Crew Leader in customer contacts regarding temporary outages, property damage, etc. -May be required to serve as Acting Crew Leader. -Participate in on-the-job training of apprentice line technicians. -Performs installation and connection of poles, lines, transformers, switches, streetlights, cable, fuses and etc. for overhead and/or underground service. -Construct, maintain, and operate District transmission and distribution system equipment and facilities in a manner that ensures a high level of customer service, system reliability and employee safety. -Operate heavy construction equipment including digger derrick trucks, reach trucks, hydraulic and pneumatic tools as well as various hand tools and other equipment.
