The Role

Overview

Implement and manage Lean/Continuous Improvement projects to boost productivity, quality, cost.

Tasks

-Develop detailed cost estimates for new and modified products. -Lead and facilitate Kaizen events. -Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement. -Train various Legrand personnel on various lean tools and processes. -Assist in developing work content for and mentoring our OLDPs. -Manage and mentor in Concord’s “Supervisor-in-training” program. -Work with manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity and flexibility across all departments. -Support/Improve the “Visual Factory” in departments by incorporating management dashboards and visual indicators for “Standard Work”. -Establish & maintain manufacturing information including labor standards, routings, SWIs (as needed) and BOM corrections. -Manage new product launches at Concord including schedules, expenditures, and reporting. -Analyze data, identify areas of opportunity, and target “Lean” events to support department/plant goals.

What You Bring

Travel – Two to three times a year. -Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends to establish proactive corrective actions applicable to the situation -Good experience with Microsoft Office – (Word, Excel, PPT, Access) -Possess good leadership qualities -Good verbal and written communication skills applicable to all levels of the organization -Three (3) years or more supporting “Lean”/CI activities in a complex Manufacturing environment -Excellent attention to details -Facilitation in a “Lean”/CI Environment -Basic ACAD or equiv. skills needed -Excellent organizational and time management skills -Possess lean knowledge and skills -Bachelor Degree (Technical Field or Systems Engineering Preferred) -Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize activities
