The Role

Overview

Assist foreman with manual labor in civil construction: digging, material handling, concrete work

Tasks

-Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. -Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe. -Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies. -Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools. -Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe. -Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. -Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area. -Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake. -Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe. -Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. -Productivity tools: Utilize cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Copilot to enhance your productivity and efficiency.
