Tasks
The Grid Compliance Manager ensures that all renewable energy assets – operational and in development – comply with applicable grid codes, regulatory standards, and connection requirements. This role serves as the key liaison between the company, transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution network operators (DNOs), and regulatory bodies. The Grid Compliance Manager will develop, implement, and oversee processes to maintain grid connection compliance, optimise grid performance, and support the integration of new technologies into the power system. -Manage project processes for EHV, HV, and LV projects, including design, construction, commissioning, and transition to operational assets. -Develop and maintain compliance plans, coordinate stakeholder interfaces, and manage technical studies often with external partners or consultants. -Provide expert guidance on regulatory obligations, support regulatory submissions, and represent the organization in relevant industry forums and policy consultations. -Maintain quality, best practices, and health & safety standards across grid compliance activities. -Oversee the grid compliance process, including Grid Code and G99 requirements, working directly with operators (NESO, DNOs, IDNOs) for milestone achievement (EON, ION, FON). -Track regulatory developments and update compliance records in line with evolving grid codes and industry standards. -Drive system studies (load flow, short-circuit, stability) to the required detail for compliance submissions and facilitate technical acceptance.

What You Bring
-Experience in grid compliance, power systems engineering, or grid integration in the energy sector. -Experience liaising with TSOs/DNOs or regulators. -Knowledge of cybersecurity, SCADA integration and grid communication protocols. -Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related field. -Familiarity with energy markets, ancillary services and flexibility mechanisms. -Strong understanding of transmission and distribution system operations, grid codes, and renewable interconnection standards (e.g., PSCAD, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory) -Master’s degree or chartered engineer status. -Proven track record managing compliance for renewable energy assets (solar, wind, battery energy storage systems)
