The Role
Overview
Design and maintain PCB components, CAM data, and sustainment engineering.

Tasks
-Perform component de-rating analysis, lifecycle assessment, and obsolescence risk mitigation. -Interface with PCB fabricators to resolve queries and ensure data integrity. -Collaborate with design engineers to optimize component selection for cost, availability, and performance. -Review stack-up, impedance, and panelization requirements for PCB production. -Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, PFAS and other regulatory standards. -Support yield improvement and process optimization through CAM analysis. -Prepare and optimize CAM data for PCB fabrication, including Gerber, ODB++, and drill files. -Select, evaluate, and qualify electronic components for PCB designs. -Perform DFM and DFA checks to ensure manufacturability and assembly readiness. -Drive engineering change orders (ECOs) and documentation updates. -Investigate and resolve field failures, quality issues, and customer complaints with respect to PCB component failure. -Maintain component libraries and ensure accurate part data in CAD tools (Altium) -Support existing products through lifecycle management, including component replacements and redesigns. -Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability. -Interface with suppliers and distributors to source components and manage lead times. -Validate fabrication outputs against design intent and industry IPC standards. -Monitor and report on product performance metrics and reliability trends with respect to PCBs. -Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for PCB manufacturability issues.

-Ability to energize teams and perceives change as an opportunity -Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills -Proficiency in Altium ECAD tools and CAM tools (CAM350, Valor, Genesis). -Min. 8 + years PCB design, component engineering, and CAM engineering -Team Player, Self-Starter, demonstrate ability to work effectively within and between teams -Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse and highly matrix environment -Bachelor or Master’s degree in Power Electronics or Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Equivalent
