Tasks

Adopting clean energy and securing a liveable planet call for new ways of building, innovating, and working. -Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to battery manufacturing and the renewable energy industry. -Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, procurement, and HR, to provide legal advice ensuring that business objectives are achieved within the legal boundaries. -Manage pre-litigation risks, and if litigation arises, develop litigation strategies and coordinate with external counsel to resolve disputes. -Support general corporate governance work and assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures. -Review, draft, and negotiate various types of contracts, including sales and procurement agreements, and supplier agreements. -Identify potential legal risks and work with leadership to take cost-effective measures to mitigate or resolve these risks.

What You Bring

HiTHIUM's International Legal Team is seeking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel / Legal Manager based in Fremont, CA (Hybrid/Remote options available), primarily responsible for handling legal matters related to HiTHIUM's U.S. sales, procurement, and manufacturing activities, while also supporting other legal and compliance work in the U.S. as needed. The candidate should have at least 7 years of legal experience, with hands-on experience in reviewing sales and procurement contracts. Location: Fremont, CA preferred. Hybrid or Remote locations will also be considered. -At least 7 years of relevant legal experience, with experience in the renewable energy sector preferred. -Bar license of a U.S. state is preferred. -Deep understanding of corporate law, contract law, and labor law, particularly those related to the manufacturing industry. -Extensive experience in reviewing and negotiating sales and procurement contracts. -Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree.

Benefits

Compensation: Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 per year. May vary according to candidate's qualifications.
