Lead and grow an electrical engineering team to design high-energy power circuits for fusion devices.

Tasks

-Create a world-class engineering team and continually raise the bar for speed of execution and technical rigor -Autonomous ownership of complex engineering projects (including schedule ownership) -Set the standard for how fast Helion designs and builds electrical systems and ultimately delivers clean, low-cost, and reliable electricity to the world -Manage the team’s end-to-end ownership of high-energy power circuits (kVDC, kVAC, kA, MJ) -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve generator performance and reliability -Develop and maintain a roadmap to mass-production, optimizing for scalability and cost -Accelerate Helion’s development of custom grid tie-in hardware and/or implementation of highly efficient off-the-shelf components

What You Bring

-Experience in taking multidisciplinary problems from concept to design, manufacturing, test, and deployment -Success scaling complex systems while reducing design iteration time with a lean team -Minimum of 10+ years of engineering experience and 3+ years of engineering management experience -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline -Hands-on exposure to a variety of electrical disciplines -Ability to apply engineering first-principles and analytical rigor to challenging problems -Exceptional leadership of engineers with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds
