Tasks

You will play a pivotal role in both business development and project delivery, representing the business at key client and stakeholder meetings. You’ll shape the commercial direction of the team, win new work, and maximise existing relationships across both public and private sector clients. As Director, you will take full responsibility for leading the Structural Engineering discipline across the southern region. Your focus will be on ensuring technical excellence, building strong client relationships, and driving the strategic growth of the service line from the Winchester office. What You Bring

You will be a Chartered Structural Engineer, with a strong technical pedigree and significant experience in both design and delivery. You’ll be comfortable overseeing complex structural engineering projects from concept to completion, working across sectors such as residential, education, healthcare, commercial, and heritage. This is a challenging and rewarding position with real scope to influence the direction and success of the practice in the region. You'll work closely with the wider senior leadership team and will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and visibility. In addition to your technical strengths, you’ll be a confident and credible leader with the ability to manage and grow a high-performing team. You should bring experience in managing profit and loss, driving commercial performance, and playing a central role in strategic planning and business development. This is an ideal opportunity for someone already operating at Director level—or a Senior Associate/Associate Director ready to step up—who wants to play a central role in the continued success of a well-resourced and respected consultancy.
