Tasks

-Maintain good housekeeping in work area. -Will be held responsible for maintaining a safe speed while keeping up with schedule. -May involve communicating with die setter, maintenance, or tooling. -Monitor complete operations to ensure proper operation of press system and to maintain maximum production for which the system is designed. -Operator is to properly identify and retrieve steel according to steel codes (proper material thickness and width), and load coil through the feeder system. -Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers. -Will be responsible for safety checks of lift truck and maintenance check list. -Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship. -Must set indicators for material thickness. -Maintain quality standards according to specifications. -Observe all departmental safety requirements. -Must set guides for material width. -Operator must understand the safety of the entire line including: Loading coils, feeding steel through straightener and feeder, first and last progression of the die, and emergency shut down of press equipment. -Maintain quality standards. -Make all adjustments as required for proper press operations. -Assist die setter as required.

What You Bring

-Must be able to control the lift trucks forked and clamp device used for lifting, transporting, and lowering objects. -Work from written or verbal orders. -Must be able to recharge batteries and/or change out one if needed. -Continuous Lifting up to 1 lbs. -Must properly set and use light curtains. -Must understand CNC controls such as: Link 2500, Tonnage Monitor, PLC feed system. -Frequent Lifting of 1 to 5 lbs. -If lift truck is gas powered, operator must be able to successfully change empty tanks out for a full one. -Must understand proper start up and shut down of equipment. -Must successfully complete and pass lift truck training classes or have lift truck license in good standing. -Must identify, trouble shoot, and correct operation of press line.
