Tasks

-Support the marketing communications team to develop appropriate collateral support for catalogs, launch kits, competitive alerts, sales communications, instruction sheets, etc. -Develop quantified value propositions to clearly articulate the differentiation of products to customers, channel partners and sales. -Define and implement the product strategy, and develop cases for new products, features, opportunity sizing, revenue potential, and cost analysis. -Develop, maintain, and implement product line strategies/roadmaps and technology plans for our data center cooling products globally. -Work will require meeting with customers, suppliers, partners in the field and will include meetings after normal business hours. The role will require 20% travel on average -Work collaboratively with regional marketing, marketing communications, and digital marketing to develop marketing plans to ensure we clearly articulate our value proposition. -Lead cross-functional activities to enhance the performance of product lines including revenue growth, margin improvement, cost reduction, quality, and delivery. -Conduct voice of the customer (VOC), primary, secondary, and observational research to facilitate the development of product plans, and identification of new products and service opportunities.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated electrical and mechanical proficiency. -Innovative & adaptable -Knowledge of networking and data center infrastructure technologies and/or cooling systems is preferred. -Ideally, 5+ years of technical product management or new product development experience required with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the Data Center and/or IT Networking sector is preferred. -A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Business is helpful. -Respectful and team oriented -Hands-on experience with IT/Networking and Data Center distributors, direct sales, and manufacturer’s reps is preferred.

Benefits

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00 nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
