Undergraduate Placement Year 2026 - Design Engineering Intern - Jigs and Fixtures

Overview

Design and develop jigs/fixtures, create CAD drawings, support manufacturing improvements.

Tasks

-On site development of layout to improve production processes and facilities. -The production of engineering drawings to internal and external suppliers for fabrication -Selection and ordering of material and components using in house processes. -Collaborate with Development Department for fabrication to ensure on time delivery based on Manufacturing Department requirements. -Testing and maintaining torque tools according to manufacturing standards -Designing jigs and fixtures as required in order to ensure on time delivery based on manufacturing requirements using CAD softwares -Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting cost reduction, lead time reduction, and process/product optimization through Lean Manufacturing principles and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering. -Ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally-friendly processes on the shop floor, in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
