The Role

Overview

Manages and performs construction surveying, data collection, and layout tasks.

Tasks

-Works with survey CAD software including but not limited to – Trimble Business Center, Autodesk Civil 3D, Etc. -Communicates and coordinates with site supervision on survey scheduling for projects. -Performs topo surveys and as-built surveys as needed. -Maintains company vehicle, trailer, UTV, survey instruments, etc. -Calculates Take Off and layout with necessary offsets. -Establish project control as needed (survey, GPS, laser). -Works with surveying instruments and software including but not limited to – Trimble T7 tablet, Trimble S-Series Instruments, Trimble Access, Trimble Siteworks, Etc. -Reads and comprehends design drawings, specifications and other related contract documents. -Evaluates accuracy of existing site control and conditions (topography, structure locations).

What You Bring

-Knowledge of and skill for accuracy and precision required for tasks to optimize efficiency. -Survey or Engineering degree preferred. -Past working experience with heavy civil construction and utilities. -Professional surveyor license is not required but welcome. -Detail oriented in areas of survey layout and drafting. -Proficient with surveying instruments and programs. -3 years’ minimum experience as a construction surveyor. -Proficient with survey CAD software. -Experience with operating robotic total stations, survey CAD software and GNSS systems.
