The Role

Overview

Conduct environmental assessments, remediation, and client projects in Ontario.

Tasks

-Drilling and test pit investigations site remediation and tank removal activities; -Phased Environmental Site Assessments, including completing historical research, site inspections, ground disturbance investigations and soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air quality; -Coordinating and completing assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to; -Compiling, analyzing and evaluating data; -Applying and promoting Englobe’s health and safety policies; -Collaborating with other environmental professionals and technical staff; and -Developing and maintaining client relationships. -As an Intermediate Environmental Engineer/Professional, you will work in collaboration with the Environment team -Writing technical reports and proposals; -Remaining current with the requirements of local, provincial and federal agencies for the assessment and management of contaminated sites;

What You Bring

-Appling knowledge of engineering principles to the completion of complex and difficult projects; -Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety. -Strong report writing skills; -Minimum 5 years of relevant environmental assessment/field experience/project management; -Member of PEO and PGO is an asset, but not mandatory; -Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations; -Willingness and ability to travel throughout Ontario on an occasional basis; and -University Degree or College Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences or an environmental related field; -Experience in supervising contractors on the worksite and troubleshooting problems in the field; -Demonstrated oral and written communication skills; -Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; -Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to complete work within established timeframes;
