Overview
Senior field specialist inspects and supervises construction projects for compliance.

Tasks
-Coordinates the project within the discipline. -Performs advanced calculations. -Attends and participates in, as needed, project progress meetings. -Assists with contract close-out documentation. -Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications. -Assists with as-built record drawings. -Advises Contractor superintendent of necessary actions to ensure conformance with plan, specs, and contract. -Serves as field technical subject matter expert. -Reviews and resolves quantity disputes with contractor. -Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform sophisticated and complicated mathematical calculations, constructability and biddability reviews, and measurements of completed work to date. -Performs on-site material testing and assists with equipment maintenance. -Assists in construction schedule reviews, contractor pay estimate reviews, and change order management. -Assists with reviews and checks calculations for Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified. -Serves as field technical subject matter expert by recognizing discrepancies or errors and resolves issues. -May lead daily assignments, mentor, and train employees.

What You Bring
-Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field and 10 years relevant experience, or -Reads and understands contract plans and specifications. -In lieu of degree, 14 years of relevant experience -In lieu of degree, 12 years of relevant experience. -10 years of relevant experience. -Understands testing requirements and procedures; uses testing equipment for materials testing. -Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience, or -Understands and interprets contractor’s schedule.
