Draughtsperson

Overview

Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for engineering projects.

Tasks

-Work directly with the engineering team to produce CAD Models, drawings and bills of material from specifications, brainstorming meetings, sketches, existing drawings, datasheets, written and verbal descriptions. -Follow company procedures and best working practices during day-to-day work activities. -To work in accordance with WESL Health, Safety & Environment procedures, policies and standard working practices. -Responsible for creation and maintenance of parts, assemblies, bills of materials and parts lists. -Utilise the CAD system resources to efficiently carry out above-mentioned tasks, eg efficiently produce product variations. -To work in accordance with WESL Quality procedures, policies and standard working practices. -Work closely with all departments to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and are error-free.

What You Bring

Due to the nature of work scopes applications are only open to UK Nationals who must undertake BPSS screening. -Use of MS office, particularly MS Excel. -Able to produce detailed engineering drawings to ISO Standards. -In-depth experience of 3D structural modelling using TEKLA or comparable (preferred). -Minimum HNC/HND qualified in Mechanical or Structural Discipline. -37.5 hrs per week working 0900 hrs – 1700 hrs Monday-Thursday. Early finish at 1600 hrs every Friday (where hours worked prior). -Good communication and interpersonal skills- -Experience in 2d AutoCAD (Essential) -Good organizational skills and time management. -Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor/Vault (Preferred)
