Tasks

-Responsible for the effective management of construction Manufacturer’s Service Technicians and the timesheet tracking of hourly employees. -Manages and coordinates all on-site construction activities for compliance with the project schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with contract requirements. -Monitors and reports on construction productivity and schedule performance (including trends) to the owners Project Manager. Takes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirements. -Monitors all extra work authorization requests, back charges, and supplier and subcontractor progress/final payment requests for acceptance and is responsible for subordinates providing the timely tracking information to Project Administrator. -Coordinates with the Field Engineers or home office engineers on engineering deliverables -Coordinates the Construction Completion Walkdown and manages the close out of all punch list items. -Supervises and mentors all managers; monitors their activities and provides leadership. -Writes the construction portion of the construction monthly report. -Resolve safety and quality issues with the contractor’s safety and quality managers. -The Construction Site Manager will act as the Owner’s Representative coordinating Owner personnel on-site including Health, Safety, and Environmental personnel, quality observers, and other service providers while on-site nearly 100 percent of the time when construction activities are taking place. -Directs implementation of construction schedule recovery plans as required. -Assists owners with landowner/public relations. -Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.; Supervises work of others. Responsible for discipline, of their subordinates. -Reports weekly schedule and commodity installation status to the owners Project Manager. -Conducts daily coordination meeting with field staff & contractors.

What You Bring

-Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. -An excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Procore. -Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work. -Has full knowledge of the safety program and acts as the Safety Representative on site in the absence of the regular owners Safety Supervisor. -Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred. -A strong attention to detail and documentation as evidenced by daily logs, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, periodic reporting, and other standard construction management activities. -General knowledge of construction principles/practices required. -Experience leading teams and maintaining relationships with external entities. -A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Construction Manager. -The ability to be flexible and adjust to changing project conditions, develop and present alternative solutions to problems, and recommend a course of action to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget. -Has general knowledge of all disciplines of construction and is able to stand in for each lead discipline. -Strong Interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders. -Understands the major commercial and deliverable terms of the construction contracts and manages within these terms. -An ability to exhibit flexibility which may require late night and/or weekend attention and/or short notice travel to address project related issues. -A strong commitment to safety and capable of successfully implementing ERM’s and the client’s safety programs. -Experience with Wind energy projects.
