Design and manage HV cable systems for UK power grid and windfarm projects.

Tasks

-Preparing engineering design packs for site teams -Leading product approval processes for UK clients -Maintaining accurate contract records for future reference -Managing design documentation and change control procedures -Assessing and managing project risks -Collaborating with design teams to support UK-based projects -Participating in design coordination meetings and contributing to technical discussions -Providing technical support and training to internal teams and customers -Interpreting customer needs and National Grid specifications -Creating cost-effective cable system proposals and supporting contracts through execution -Working closely with site engineers to ensure timely, on-budget delivery -Developing and tracking design programmes

What You Bring

-Experience in cross country utilities projects would be an advantage -Hold good interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation capability. -Ability to see the overall picture –e.g.cost/options/compliance/practicality/customer awareness -Possess excellent problem-solving skills. -Preferably hold experience of Mathcad, however training can be given -Application, 2) HR interview, 3) Hiring Manager interviews and 4) Online assessment (30min) -Structured, systematic approach and good attention to detail -Highly self-motivated, with a keen, hands-on approach. -Ideally educated up to degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering
