Oversee procurement, tendering and contract management for megaproject infrastructure

Tasks
-Day-to-day pre-award procurement activities include. -Organisation of tenderer meetings/workshops, such as bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the client, and contractor on all contractual matters. -Preparing, maintaining, and managing reports, registers, presentations, and correspondence. -Final conforming and award of associated contracts utilizing project templates. -Drafting of tender plans (Procurement Strategies) and other governance documents including evaluation criteria for approval by the Client. -Evaluation of submitted tenders, negotiations with client and tenderers and drafting of recommendation to award documents in line with established procedures and customer’s delegated authorities’ matrix utilizing project templates. -Issue of Tenders and management of the Tender process utilizing project templates, tracking and closing queries, receiving and evaluating proposals. -Coordination of the activities of Bechtel, the Client and the Client’s Consultants and Contractors -Developing Request for Proposal (RFP) documents utilizing project templates -Review of Contract Terms and Conditions, collaborating closely with the Client’s advisors -Providing detailed feedback on impacts of implementation of execution, packaging strategies as well as contract pricing structures and procurement routes.

What You Bring
-Requires bachelor's degree in Degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or other applicable field (or international equivalent). -Understanding of project management principles and practices to oversee contract execution against project timelines. -Experience of working on infrastructure projects and/or real estate developments. -Strong organizational skills to manage multiple contracts and ensure documentation is thorough and accessible. -Experience and working knowledge in contract pricing structures, contract law, contract drafting, tendering procedures & requirements. -15+ years of relevant procurement work experience. -Ability to meticulously review contracts and documents for accuracy and compliance, identifying potential issues. -Knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable government and commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures, and work practices. -Working knowledge of the FIDIC Suite of Contracts and their utilization on major construction projects. -Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial principles related to project contracts. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. -Professional Accreditation (MRICS, MCIPS or equivalent) is preferred. -Experience in procurement on mega/giga projects; preference given to experience on mega/giga infrastructure projects.
