Tasks

The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity. *Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times. *Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are always prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices. *Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance. *To gain Technical Appointments as required e.g. LVCP/Low/High Risk Pressure AP and to issue PTW and Isolation Certificates to Subcontractors and EQUANS staff *Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works. *Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. To plan and oversee Mechanical plant isolation and shut downs for maintenance, inspection or remedial works. *To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns. *If detailed within Contract ensure compliance with the Written Scheme of Examination (PSSR) *Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests *Support the Helpdesk as required when reporting or updating planned and reactive maintenance *Ensure that all relevant paperwork/CAFM is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator. *Ensure supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur *Coordinate quotations with the contract manager *Ensure you follow Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works *Ensure up to date plant logs are kept at all times *Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order. *Ensure the professional image of Equans is presented to clients at all times *Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of Equans are kept in a clean and tidy condition. *Ensure your test equipment is within calibration *To develop a good working relationship with all members of Equans staff, subcontractors and the client representatives. *Production of information for quotations *Report accident and near misses in a timely manner *The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical Buildings Services Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and Equans processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities. *Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's. *Produce Condition / Dilapidation Reports as required *Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to the electrical infrastructure and plant in accordance with Site task schedules and CAFM. *Comply with requests for information from SHEQ manager *Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate. *Ensure CAFM system, e.g. Total Mobile, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.

What You Bring

*To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Equans' Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system). Helpdesk - PPM The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find and diagnose and rectify complex Mechanical faults and issues unaided. Have an excellent knowledge of Mechanical systems and components. *Ensue PPE is safe to use Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable and competent Mechanical Technician who can work on own initiative, within a team or oversee subcontractor's, producing high quality reports on their findings and work. The role will involve being the face of Equans so smart appearance and being able to discuss findings with others including customers is required. *To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
