Lead fire protection engineering team for nuclear projects, client-facing, based in Toronto/Ottawa

Tasks

-Moderate technical meetings. -Provide technical guidance for various disciplines across the project as it relates to fire protection. -Travel to project sites and AtkinsRéalis offices located in Toronto area. -Client facing, interface with project stakeholders (installers, owner, authority having jurisdiction). -Lead and coordinate a team of fire protection engineers and specialists for all fire protection activities. -Maintain accountability of the commitment to project deliverables.

What You Bring

-Good understanding of fire protection systems (fire alarm and suppression). -Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of fire protection engineering. -Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with PEO. Certification from Engineering Association is an asset. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or diploma in fire protection engineering technology, or related field. -Submit for and maintain a federal security clearance and valid driving license. -Expert knowledge of NBCC, NFCC, CSA N293, NFPA, ULC standards.
