Perform underground telecom construction tasks, lead small teams, ensure safety and quality.

Tasks
-Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping while on shift. -You will climb in and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.) -Provide support to small workgroups to meet project goals on time and follow safety standards -May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed. -Resolves routine issues while escalating more complex problems. -You will perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor -You will dig using hand shovel and mechanical tools -You will install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling -Complete and verify detailed production reports to maintain accurate project records -You will maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies. -Train and mentor Level I and II laborers to improve their skills and knowledge -You will maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement -Assist with site restoration efforts, including final grading and landscaping, to meet client expectations -You will operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery

What You Bring
-Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening. -Employees performing these job functions are required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. -3 years of experience in underground telecommunications construction or a related field -To be 18 years of age or older -CDL required. -High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience -Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. -Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, coworkers, vendors and the public. -Ability to work safely in all weather conditions -May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business needs. -Strong ability to work independently and provide support in team environments -Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed -Authorization to work in the United States for this company -You will work in congested or remote areas -Proficient in troubleshooting, operational skills, and handling more complex tasks under supervision -Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record -Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position. -You have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner -Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. -You may have the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities -Proven leadership experience to direct workflow and produce high quality results -Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations involving employees, customers and vendors. -You have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner -Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics. -You are able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc. -Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed. -Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
