Tasks

-Conducting market and industry research including target identification, historical precedent transactions and public company comparable analysis. -Collaborating and coordinating various cross-functional teams with due diligence efforts, including operations, financial, legal, and HR, and other functions. -Communicating deal terms, rationale, and track progress to stakeholders and senior executives. -Supporting sourcing activities including developing and maintaining relationships with potential acquisition targets and external stakeholders. -Developing financial models and leading financial and other business case analyses to evaluate potential M&A opportunities. -Participate in the drafting and review of financial and commercial terms pertaining to legal transaction documentation. -Evaluating market trends, regulatory developments and other factors relevant to M&A.

What You Bring

-CFA, CPA or CA professional designation, an asset. -Superior working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. -Strong business acumen and knowledge of financial modeling and analysis concepts with great attention to detail. -Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant specializations. -Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, relationship building and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment. -1 to 3 years of work experience in investment banking, corporate development, corporate strategy or consulting, or transaction advisory services. -Strong project management/organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize assignments and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment required. -Mastery of analytical tools, such as Bloomberg, an asset.
