The Role

Overview

Accounting co-op assisting with invoicing, AP, expense tracking, and reconciliations.

Tasks

-Effectively communicate with Project Team regarding change orders needed with regular follow ups -Assist/support the accounting team as needed, along with ad-hoc requests and projects as assigned. -Reconcile of ePOs, identify inconsistencies and collaborate with project team to resolve discrepancies -Response professional and promptly with internal and external stakeholders -Pull supporting documentation to client job billings -Process high volume accounts payables related to projects with 3-way and 2-way ePO matching or Overhead Expenses -Ensure all purchases are accurately tracked to proper charge code

What You Bring

-You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher -Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships -If you are selected for a role in a safety-sensitive position, you will be required to successfully complete a Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug tests -Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently -All applications must include a current transcript -You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. -Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills -Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries -Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
