The Role

Overview

Maintain and service equipment by checking fluids, filters, greasing, and performing inspections.

Tasks

-Clean or replace air conditioning filter. -Delivers Petroleum, Oils and lubricants (POL) and/or coolant fluids to engines, swing drives, transmissions, final drives, differentials, hydraulic system and cooling system. -Check hoses. -Check Tire Pressure. -Check and evaluate all mechanical functions to ensure correct operation. -Check batteries. -Changes Engine oil and filters. -Takes fluid samples from engines, swing drives, transmissions, final drives, differentials, hydraulic system and cooling system. -Changes air filters if necessary. -Changes fuel filters. -Keep equipment cleaned and well maintained. -Interpret work orders and technical manuals -Checks fluid levels in engines, swing drives, transmissions, final drives, differentials, hydraulic system and cooling system. -Fill out service logs or orders -Completely grease the machine. -Drive all-wheel drive lubrication truck to equipment sites to perform this maintenance.

What You Bring

-Physical capabilities to meet the abilities described below -Experience in basic vehicle/equipment servicing -Must be able to climb up and down on machines to reach grease points, refuel ports and lubrication tanks. Ability to balance body to prevent falling from equipment -Clean CDL class B license with HazMat Endorsement -Knowledge of basic mechanical procedures and tools -Must be able to hold fuel, lubricant or grease dispensing nozzles during POL replenishment operations -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, use fingers, handle, feel or operate objects. Also must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel and see. -Good vision, hearing and sense of smell to diagnose problems -Must possess the strength and stamina necessary to lift up to fifty pounds several times per day, and pull hoses from the lubrication truck to the equipment being serviced.
