AC Maintenance Tech

Maintain and repair residential HVAC systems, diagnose issues, and provide customer service.

Tasks

-Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle. -Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment, and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown. -Obtain customer signature at completion of job. Obtain correct customer information including email address. -Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to resolve. -Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of gas, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary. -Carry Ladders, work from heights, and crawl spaces. -Identify and report to Service Manager potential opportunities for business. -Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer. -Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice at job site. -Maintain and submit monthly mileage log forms. -Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies. -Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis. -Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers. -Repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers.

What You Bring

-Ability to work tablet, laptop, or desktop device. -Degree or Trades School certification in related field preferred -Knowledge and observance of all company policies, procedures, and safety rules. -Prolonged periods standing, crawling, climbing. -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. -Able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends. -Must have clean driving record. -Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times. -Ability to solve basic math problems. -Three to five years of related experience required in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues. -Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
