Tasks

-Perform technical expediting related to our deliveries. -Manage the performance of own team members including those of external partners if assigned to the project. Plan the workload and resource allocations for all team members through all project phases. -Provide engineering support in resolving site queries and site issues. -Lead the design team for automation through all phases of the project when appointed as the project lead. -Participate and contribute to project sessions such as schedule reviews, PEP reviews etc. -Conduct site surveys as necessary to gather the relevant information for brownfield project scope. Plan and facilitate necessary studies and carry out investigations needed in a project -Prepare purchase requisitions, perform technical evaluations and participate in contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors. -Ensure that project deliverables for each phase are prepared in a timely manner. -Provide technical support to other engineering disciplines such as engineering & vendor document reviews. -Perform automation engineering independently according to relevant local and international codes in an international environment and prepare or check or approve automation deliverables such as control philosophy, control and interlock description, cause and effect diagram, control diagram, logic diagram, sequence diagram, alarm management, automation vendor related deliverables, job definitions etc. -Participate as automation construction supervisor for automation works at site during turnarounds and shutdowns. Conduct field supervision to supervise the works being carried out by the construction contractors through Quality Checks (QC). Perform SAT on automation systems per project scope. -Participate in mechanical completion walk downs and Pre-startup safety reviews, Post startup reviews, lessons learnt sessions, project closeout. -Participate and contribute in reviews such as BoD review, P&ID reviews, HAZID / HAZOP sessions, constructability reviews, risk workshops, value engineering workshops -Establish proper controls and monitor progress to ensure project execution is in line with the baseline. -Lead the design team for automation through all phases of the project when appointed as the project lead especially for complex and high TIC projects, or projects of strategic importance to the business. -Work with the PM / EM in developing the project baseline (cost, schedule and execution plan) provide comments to the baseline documents as required. -Plan and manage the resource allocation for the projects for which you are the lead together with the resource managers. -Prepare manhour estimates and support project planning as required. -Perform automation engineering work and lead design teams in both local and international projects with varying degrees of complexity and total installed cost and deliver the project scope to the agreed quality, cost and schedule.

What You Bring

-Knowledge and experience of ExSilentia software. -Proven experience of at least 15 years on a similar job, with 5 years in a lead role, preferably also inside the fence of industrial clients. -Strong leadership skills, hands-on mentality and desire to further develop in your role and grow with the team. -Bachelor's or Master's engineering degree in instrumentation, or similar. -Strong focus on project delivery skills, developing new ways of working and driving change are close to your heart. -Ability to recognize opportunities and respond to client needs, network easily with a variety of stakeholders.
