Senior Structural Engineer

Tasks

-Provide technical oversight and review contributions from project engineers and technicians. -Promote innovation in design while maintaining highquality standards and adhering to Stantec's quality assurance processes. -Participate in client networking and represent the team at industry events, with a focus on cultivating new opportunities. -Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects, from concept and scheme design to detailed design, tender, and construction packages. -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors. -Support the preparation of fee proposals, bids, and ITTs. -Contribute to divisional initiatives such as task groups and design innovation. -Manage and develop graduate engineers, engineers, and technicians within your team. -Take ownership of resource planning, ensuring the efficient allocation of team capacity across projects. -Oversee the preparation of calculation packages for submission to Building Control and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.

What You Bring

-MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and inspire team members -Proven experience in building structures design across various sectors. -Demonstrated ability to lead teams on projects. -Proficiency in analysis, modelling, and hand calculations. -Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or actively working towards it) with either the IStructE/ICEhartered
