BIM Technician

Overview

Create and modify structural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD to support the engineering team.

Tasks

-Work closely with Structural Engineers as well as other internal and external team members. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of Biotech/Life Science and Industrial market sectors, and projects include both existing building modifications and new construction. -Work under the direction of senior engineers to develop layout drawings and details in Revit and AutoCAD. -Participate in project model reviews and coordination sessions using Navisworks. -Work with other BIM/CAD team members to ensure coordination across disciplines. -Create and modify drawings while coordinating with other discipline drawings and models.

Our Cary, NC office is looking for a BIM Technician to join our growing team in the Cary, NC office. The BIM Technician will support the Structural Engineering team. The BIM Technician will generate structural construction documents for various projects and should have experience with creation/modification of drawings in Revit and AutoCAD. -Associate degree preferred -Experience with clash coordination through Navisworks is an advantage -Must have detailing experience with building structures. -Bluebeam experience is a plus -4+ years’ experience with AutoCAD and Revit Structure required -Experience in design, good familiarity with design methods, terminology and approaches -Experience with an A/E firm or equivalent preferred but required -High adaptability to learning new software and technology. -Able to think outside the box & demonstrate creative problem-solving skills. -Structural Design Focus or Experience -Proficient in Microsoft Office -Ability to read, comprehend, and clearly communicate information in engineering drawings.
