The Role

Overview

Operate and maintain electronic assembly machines, handling setup, quality checks, and cross‑training.

Tasks

-May assist with material handling function. -Identify defects of components on the boards. -May assist with Final Assembly, Test, Stockroom and Shipping functions as needed. -Cross train in all machines on the floor (SMT, Coat, Select Solder and Wave) -May set up and prepare workstations. -Work on some of the Board Assembly responsibilities as needed. -Cross train on PCB Assembly side of team. -Keep Manufacturing area clean of dust and debris. -Follow written instructions for assigned machine. -Identify the components of parts. -Keep machine running once machine is set up. -Follow drawings and BOM of the work orders. -Setting up the next scheduled job. -Set up and tear down one machine on the production floor. -Initially operate one machine on the floor (SMT, Coat, Select Solder and Wave)

What You Bring

-Knowledge of surface mount assembly and rework may be required. -Ability to read and interpret assembly process documentation. -Ability to identify electronic and mechanical components (i.e.: resistor color codes and mechanical hardware, etc.) -Precision soldering to the IPC-A-610C. -Ability to interpret assembly blueprints and drawings. -No formal education is required. One-year experience soldering and/or electromechanical assembly of PC boards including the following skills is required.
