The Role

Overview

Design and support maintenance of overhead/underground electric distribution facilities.

Tasks

-Specifies design for single phase and three phase overhead and underground facilities per training curriculum according to specifications and defined compatible units. -Prepares corrective maintenance, failed equipment and pole replacement work orders for overhead and underground facilities -Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet with customers to satisfy project needs and service complaints. -Determines customer obligations from Standard Practice Instructions for contracts, costs, billing and accounting purposes. -Prepares work orders, sketches, right-of-way requests, permit requests and estimate Generates work orders in appropriate company systems and computer tools. -Works with other utility companies, municipalities, corporations and authorities regarding joint use of distribution facilities

What You Bring

-Graduate of a two-year Engineering or Engineering Technology degree program from a school/program which has been accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation agency. PPL’s Engineering Aide Qualifying Exam will be used to screen internal candidates who do not meet the minimum entry degree requirements for the position. -Successful completion of the company's Training and Development Program for Distribution Service Technicians. -Licensed to operate a motor vehicle
