Tasks

-Lead contract negotiations and customer meetings including the legal aspects of the contract i.e. limitation of liability, insurance, indemnities, etc.., and bring the deal for closure/contract signature. -Ensure compliance with the commercial risk process for all transactions and lead the technical, profitability and commercial inputs during presentations at risk meetings -Interfaces with other GE Vernova businesses and works globally to increase our penetration in the markets. -Responsible for developing commercial proposals, contract negotiation and managing commercial risk to secure profitable business for the Power Conversion business. -Development of commercial proposals for low, medium and complex RFQ/RFI/RFP, working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Sourcing aligning customers’ expectations against the company’s profitability and risk profiles. -Works with regional commercial and risk teams to identify opportunities for simplification and productivity.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs -Technical knowledge of electrical solutions, including automation, low & medium-voltage motors, and variable speed drives. -Working knowledge of supply and services contract structure -Understand and have the ability to create project cash flows based on the project profile, exchange rates fluctuations (USD, EUR, BRL, etc), and cost escalation models. Become proficient with use of financial, cost/pricing and technical tools associated with above responsibilities. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial operations, Sales, Business and/or Contract Law or equivalent experience associated with gas / steam turbine / power plant, wind power, variable frequency drives, electric motors, or grid products -Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or equivalent (minimum of 10 years of professional experience) -Experience supporting proposals for key DoD customers (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc) and/or civilian agencies. -Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, markets, sales processes, or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. -Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred -Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (CRM, Excel, Word, etc.) -Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales. -Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs -Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR terms and conditions -Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens. -Strong coordination and influencing skills -Strong track record of working with cross-functional teams -Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. -Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' opinions on particular topics by guiding others to consider a different point of view. -Strong project time management skills -Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time. -Minimum of 2 years of experience with reviewing customer specifications, proposal development, contract development and direct negotiations for equipment and/ or services sales and consortium agreements -Prior technical sales and contract negotiation experience.
