Tasks

-Controls jobsite expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services -Plans and implements procedures to ensure construction operations are continuously adhering to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules and budget. -Responsible for the Construction mine site as alternate SSE and performs the functions of an SSE when the Site Manager / SSE is absent from the mine construction site. -Ensure that an Emergency Response Plan is maintained, and specific emergency response plans are developed -Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements. -Provide visible leadership and adequate resources to support and ensure implementation of the Project Health and Safety Management Systems. -Responsible for coordination of construction operations to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules. -Ensures subordinate personnel receive progressive training -Responsible for craft resources as assigned and coordinates the activities with designated manager and corporate craft resources department. -Administers a security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department -Establishes field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures -Responsible for the field workforce organization to ensure the jobsite organization is comprised of qualified and knowledgeable personnel -Reviews and provides input to the Health and Safety management plans, Training Plan, Emergency Response Plan, and other HSMS plans as needed.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of the Project Construction Environmental Control Plan. -Prior work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above. -Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies and jobsite management. -Execution experience on an EPC (direct-hire) Project is preferred. -A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or -Knowledge of Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy. -Specialized courses in construction management, and/or -Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
