Tasks

-Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion -Combining all cost elements to create a detailed and accurate estimate for the project -Staying up to date on industry trends and pricing -Presenting the estimate to project team or potential contractors in a clear and professional manner -Attend project walkthroughs with the ability to gather all necessary information to be able to provide an accurate cost estimate -Obtain quotes from suppliers and vendors for materials and equipment, ensuring competitive pricing -Thoroughly examine blueprints and specifications to understand the scope of work -Determine the labor hours and costs needed for different tasks, considering the skills of the tradespeople involved -Calculate overhead, indirect costs, profit margins, and contingency costs to arrive at a comprehensive project estimate -Accurately calculate the quantities of materials required for the project, such as CFMF interior/exterior framing, drywall hanging/finishing, and acoustical treatments

What You Bring

-The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an Interiors Construction Estimator -Practical experience in construction projects can be valuable for understanding real-world costs and challenges -Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials for the understanding of different construction techniques and materials used in interior projects -Attention to detail and accuracy to identify and correct errors in estimates to ensure accuracy -Must have a working knowledge of MS Office, including strong skills in Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Outlook -Proficiency with industry-standard software for material takeoffs and cost calculations -Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors -Must possess superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret plans, identify potential issues, and develop accurate estimates -Must possess the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
