Tasks

-Lead the electrical modeling and detailing process for modular electrical rooms, skids, and related assemblies using Revit and other BIM tools. -Manage version control, file organization, and drawing standards across multiple design packages and external partners. -Coordinate vendor and supplier drawings for integration into final modular designs. -Implement and enforce modeling best practices, ensuring models are optimized for prefabrication and fabrication-level accuracy. -Collaborate with mechanical and structural teams to resolve spatial conflicts and interface issues in modular assemblies. -Manage and oversee the work of third-party design and detailing services to ensure alignment with project standards, timelines, and quality expectations. -Coordinate with internal engineering, prefabrication, and construction teams to verify model accuracy, design intent, and constructability. -Manage creation of detailed fabrication and installation drawings, schedules, and documentation to support production and field teams. -Develop and maintain design standards specific to modular and prefabrication workflows. -Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers and modelers. -Support value engineering and modular optimization by identifying opportunities for standardization, repeatability, and design efficiency.

What You Bring

-5+ years of design, detailing, or BIM coordination experience in a commercial or industrial construction environment implementing DFMA best practices. -Familiarity with lean construction principles and digital fabrication workflows. -Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, conduits, raceways, and modular construction principles. -Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead coordination meetings and drive issue resolution. -Experience in a prefabrication or modular construction environment preferred. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. ​ -Proficiency in Revit & Navisworks. -Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to solving coordination challenges. -Able to translate design data into accurate and actionable fabrication deliverables. -Experience coordinating across disciplines, including mechanical and structural trades. -Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field. -Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and shop or vendor drawings. -Experience with BIM 360, ACC, or similar collaboration platforms. -Skilled at managing both in-house and external design resources to achieve cohesive project outcomes. -Experience managing outsourced or third-party design and modeling services.
